Empire State Highway Contractor’s Association
This association is currently accepting applications for a handful of apprentices. The applications will be taken at 2481 Higby Road in Frankfort New York. They are seeking skilled construction craft laborers. There will be seven spots available. There is also a need for three operating engineers and two carpenters. This apprenticeship program will provide a great opportunity for those who are accepted. The deadline to apply is January 4, 2012.
There are a variety of opportunities for individuals who wish to train to become bricklayers. One example is the apprenticeship programs though the Local Union 3 of the Bricklayers and Allied Craft Workers Union. They will be taking applications through January of 2012. There are apprenticeship programs for individuals who wish to train in the area of Asbestos, Lead and Hazardous Waste.
