This guide will provide you with information about some CNA training schools in Texas and how you can find ways to lower the cost of your training or even obtain it for free at many of the training centers throughout the state. Certified nursing assistants make an average of about $45,000 per year in Texas but, of course, that income can be lower depending on the city in which you work and the healthcare setting.
Most individuals will need to attend CNA training program that includes at least 100 hours of study and has been approved by the state. Applicable programs can be found here: (http://www.dads.state.tx.us/providers/NF/credentialing/NATCEP/credtraining.cfm). Students will gain knowledge through both hands on training and classroom instruction.
[su_note]If an individual received at least 100 hours of healthcare training in the military, they can be exempt from a state approved training course. The same is true for nursing graduates and even some nursing students as long as enough nursing training has been completed.[/su_note]
