If a student was exempt from needing to take a training course, there is another application they will need to completely so that the Department of Aging can approve their request to sit for the exam. The application can be found here: (http://www.dads.state.tx.us/providers/nf/credentialing/NATCEP/forms.html) and various paperwork will need to be submitted verifying that the training or education requirements have been met.A successful background check is required for any candidate to be listed on the CNA registry.
