Arizona Medical Training Institute

One of the grants that Phlebotomy students may qualify for at Arizona Medical Training Institute is the  Rotary Vocational Fund of Arizona .  This grant is sponsored by the Rotary club and donors.  To apply for the grant, a person will need to find a local Rotary Club to be their sponsor. The scholarship website makes it easy for students to search for clubs that would be close to where they live. These grants can only be used for tuition, books, testing and other educational related materials. They are not intended to help living expenses and other bills that are not directly related to their education.

When applying for the grant a person must have their copy of the Student Aid Report which will show how much aid an individual is available to receive from government sources. An individual does need to show they have a financial need to be considered for the grant.  Right now an individual with 150% of the poverty level or less in income can apply for the grant.  Family size is also taken into consideration when comparing household income.  Men and women who are not residents of Arizona, cannot apply.  Applications for this grant can be found on the Rotary Vocational Fund website.

Students who wish to take training such as the Phlebotomy course track at Central Arizona College might be able to receive help paying for their education if they are or were a foster child.  This program is for those who are no younger than 16 and no older than 21.  College students who qualify for this program will be in foster care or have been in foster care at the age of 16 or over.  If a student was adopted at age 16 or older from a foster care program, they can also apply for the  Arizona Foster Care Tuition Waiver .

Students will need to complete not only a free application for federal based financial assistance but also the foster care tuition waiver application.  Someone who has more than $10,000 worth of assets will not be able to apply for this special waiver program.  If students are approved for this waiver, they may receive enough grants and scholarships to pay for their educational expenses. There may still be other fees that they need to be able to cover with other forms of financial aid. The college can assist foster care students who are looking to see if they qualify to have tuition waived when they register for the program of study in phlebotomy.
